Costa Cruises, Italy’s largest tourism group, presents a new iPhone application for travellers to discover everything about a Costa vacation before they experience the Italian style cruise journey.
The iPhone application, titled “Costa”, is designed for the fleet’s 14 ships, including Costa Classica and Costa Romantica in which sail in Asia. Available in six languages, the app can be downloaded free from Apple Store and iTunes. The multimedia functions of the app take users to a virtual tour on board Costa’s ships.
With the innovative iPhone app, all areas of each ship can be visited and examined with a 360° full-screen virtual tour. Users can explore photo galleries and descriptions of ship facilities such as cabins and suites, wellness areas, deck lidos, bars, restaurants, works of art, as well as hi-tech features like Grand Prix simulators, a Golf simulator, swimming pool with sliding roof and giant screen, and 4D cinema.
To follow the ships in real time, the app includes an interactive geo-localisation system. The position of all ships in the fleet can be displayed on a map. The app not only provides all the updated information of the fleet, but also gives users a hotline number for vacation booking.
